    Understanding Domestic Violence

    Families Living Violence Free (FLVF) is Granville County’s domestic violence and rape crisis center. Incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in 2004, the organization is certified by the Governor’s Crime Commission, the North Carolina Council for Women/Domestic Violence Commission, and is designated a Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault service provider to victims in Granville county. Come to one or all of the 6 sessions provided to learn more about domestic violence.                                                                                                          

    Sponsor:   Creative Lifelong Learning Program

    Dates/Time:       Six (6) Tuesdays, Jan. 14 – Feb. 18, 2020, 1-2pm                                       Session 1: Understanding Domestic Violence     
    Session 2: Why Do Women Stay In Abusive Relationships
    Session 3: Domestic Violence & Effects On Children
    Session 4: When Loving You Is Hurting Me
    Session 5: Healthy Relationships
    Session 6: Personal Boundaries

    Attendees will receive a certificate if they attend all six (6) classes.

  • FREE Social Security Disability Clinic

    Legal Aid of North Carolina offers a free Social Security Disability Clinic to learn about the types of adult Social Security Disability benefits, how to qualify, the application process, and what you will need to show to prove that you are entitled to benefits. At the clinic, you will watch an instructional video. A volunteer attorney will be available to answer general questions. Register HERE.
