Families Living Violence Free, Granville County’s only domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking crisis center, is seeking to fill the vacancy of Executive Director.   We are a dynamic agency geared to meeting the needs of those who all too often cannot speak for themselves.  We operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with current staffing of two full-time, five part-time employees and volunteer support.

• This position involves fund raising, researching/applying for/supporting grant programs, supervising staff, budgeting, planning, organizing, directing and controlling overall operations. It reports to the Board of Directors.
• Successful candidate will be a person of integrity using tact, poise, humor, professionalism, and diplomacy to manage complex and sensitive matters, as well as the staff members associated with this work. The E.D. also functions as an advocate when case work dictates. 
• Must be an individual who is not only committed to philanthropic causes and adept in relationship building with various constituencies, but also capable of managing all aspects of running a small business – including preparing the budget, maintaining control of financial records, reporting requirements, and processing invoices for timely payment.       

Minimum qualification are graduation from a four-year college or university program, or the equivalent combination of education and experience that provides understanding of effective leadership in a non-profit business operation.  Two years’ previous experience in a non-profit leadership role is preferred, and knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices, and procedures associated with crimes of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking, a plus.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and advanced proficiency in using computer software, including QuickBooks Online.  Salary range:  $50K – $56K, dependent on education and previous experience.
