                            Director Vacancy – Oxford, North Carolina

Families Living Violence Free, Granville County’s domestic violence and rape crisis center, is seeking to fill the vacancy of Director.  We operate as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Position involves fund raising, researching, applying for, and supporting grant programs, supervising staff, budgeting, planning, organizing, directing and controlling overall operations.  It reports directly to the Board of Directors.  Successful candidate will be a person of integrity using tact, poise, humor, professionalism, and diplomacy to manage complex and sensitive matters, and staff members, associated with this work.  Must be an individual who is committed to philanthropic causes, and adept in relationship building with various constituencies.   

Minimum qualification is graduation from a four-year college or university program, or the equivalent combination of education and experience that provides understanding of what constitutes effective leadership in business operations, including the supervisory experience referenced above.  Two years of previous experience in a non-profit leadership role is preferred, and knowledge of the laws, regulations, practices, and procedures associated with crimes of domestic violence and sexual assault, a plus.  Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and advanced proficiency in using computer software.
