DID YOU KNOW?   A woman is assaulted or beaten every 9 seconds…

“…When I got the restraining order, the magistrate actually removed us from our home.  My spouse had taken my retirement, my money market account, my checking account, and even went so far as to take my vehicle from my job.  We had recently finished building our new home, and all of a sudden we were homeless and without a vehicle… But I found a connection with the people at Families Living Violence Free.  They were there for me every single time!  I was never completely alone in that court room.  They were my cheering squad; they even got us in for therapy.  They encouraged us.  They clothed us.  They fed us, and they educated us… FLVF gave me my life back!  I have come from homeless to owning my own rescue farm and I couldn’t be happier.”

Events Coming Soon

Domestic Violence

Families Living Violence Free provides assistance with preparing the necessary paperwork for domestic violence protective orders, as well as accompanying clients to their court hearings and connecting them with legal aid and translation services. Our team offers a supportive presence, clarifies procedures, and guides clients through the intricate legal process to ensure the best possible outcome.

Sexual Assult

Regardless of your clothes, beverage, or previous consent, you are not to blame for sexual assault. It can be challenging to determine the appropriate course of action following an assault. However, contacting Families Living Violence Free and speaking with our advocate can provide insight into your alternatives. Sexual violence persists when we remain quiet, so let’s discuss it openly.

Human Trafficking

Our organization assists survivors of human trafficking in finding emergency shelter and support services. Additionally, we employ a dedicated anti-Human Trafficking advocate who partners with our local agencies, law enforcement, and businesses to raise awareness about trafficking. These partnerships are crucial so that the authorities can identify and rescue victims.

We honor families as the life of our community, where dreams are born, children are nurtured and adults find purpose.
