Domestic Violence Traveling Tree

Remember My Name

This tree has on its branches, names of North Carolinians who lost their personal battle against Domestic Violence during 2017, thus far.

October has been proclaimed, “Domestic Violence Awareness Month,” nationally, state-wide, and by all mayors of our Granville County cities and towns.

Will you please take just a moment out of your busy life to remember those who lost theirs due to the cancer of violence in homes and intimate relationships across Granville County, and our state?  Will you join with fellow citizens who are stepping forward, standing up, and saying, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”  Stop the violence.

We want you to know there is help, and there is hope.  If you, or someone you know, are experiencing physical, psychological, or emotional violence at the hands of someone close, please call us.  We are: Families Living Violence Free, Granville County’s Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault agency.  We’re located in Oxford and can be reached 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Two crisis lines are staffed at all times:

English – 919 693 5700; Espanol – 919 690 0888

All calls and services are completely confidential, and there is never a charge to our clients for any service.

We’re here for you, and want to help.

. . . make the call, please
